May 27th & 28th

After a crazy end to the school year and surviving moving day...we are now ready to hit the road. So, what would one do to prepare for a long RV trip to Alaska, buy tires...so we did at the tune of $1400. Who would have thought that before even leaving the driveway, that we would have a flat tire, but we did! There was a slight delay in leaving.

Our orignal thought was to stop in Lincoln, NE and sleep for a couple of hours and then proceed to Yellowstone. Well, it was decided to keep on driving in hopes of reaching Yellowstone before the sun went down on Thursday so that we could secure a first-come-first-serve camping spot in the park. Not so much, all the other campers thought that same thing. Every campground in the park was full. Bummer, the 30 hour drive consisted of gasoline stops, water fill-up, and campground hunting which turned out to be a bust, but the sunset at Yellowstone was great.
